Never had any luck with trying to solder a joint with water in the pipe, water seems to conduct the heat away and the solder will not melt. Love to know how he managed to get it to work
The question should be what caused the corrosion in the copper pipe. Since it was on the hot water side I would guess the hot water heater was going bad due to an old consumed anode. Rust from the heater settled out in the pipe and caused a corrosion cell.
How long would you heat up a 1 inch copper pipe using map gas it seems like i use to much heat got any tips
