Just paying it forward. I’d been inspired by a number of various diy gym concepts that I’d found posted across the web, so I thought I’d share my gym project I’ve crafted up as well. Hopefully this might help someone else out there with there own projects.Additional details: https://christopherpardon.wordpress.com/2015/10/03/diy-home-gym-demo/
Definitely inspiring man! I will adapt your pulley in my power rack! Thanks! I just think that you need a bench 😀
Hola me pueden traducir el video pata tratar de hacerla me gusta mucho la manera creativa de hacerla gracias
Good video. The engineering grade stability is a tribute to the proper balance of applied physics correctly applied with extremely economical componentry. Especially appreciate this man's close attention to a detail that provides an added measure of safety for his son. He strikes me as a very mindful and thoughtful builder and dad as well. Good Work!
Whats wrapped around the bar holding the weight?
Chris, this is simple, functional, and really brilliant. I am going to make a Smith Machine based on a similar pole sliding system like yours. Did the outer pipe warp when you connected it with the wood to secure it? Is it just sandwiched together? That is a concern I have if I do this. Thanks buddy and check out my creations. Kurt
question.. does the machine create mechanical advantage because of the pullys ie.. lets say you have 30lbs on the machine and you are doing barbell curls from the lower pully. does the barbell have 30lbs of force at the bar or because of the pullys does it have less than 30 lbs? i can rephrase if you don't quite follow me
Little bit of grease will reduce noise & friction.
Awesome. can u show me the design of this cable cap machine?
The way you have the post you could make some cable chest flys
Nice going to make this
Great job! Looks nice, inexpensive and functional.
Hi Chris, I was wondering if you had a name for that pulley company in china where you got that on ebay? Thanks.
Great piece. Nice job.
