Derek “Deek” Diedricksen, author of “Microshelters”, works on a tree house in Massachusetts for a client. The walls of this simple pre-fabricated tree house were designed by Deek and built at a hands-on workshop he, and his brother Dustin, held earlier in the year. Deek will be hosting another small, live, tree house building workshop in July of 2016 in CT most likely.

Hi Deek, I'm late to the treehouse game but I'm planning to build one based on this model. Your website and videos have been very helpful. The internet is filled with random information about how to attach support beams to trees. I'm attaching a 16 foot 2 x 6 to two trees as the support beam for one side, then I will concrete two posts on the other end. Question…how did you attach your support beam to the two trees? What is the safest and best "tree friendly" method? I wish I could attend a workshop, but with a family of 5…can't pull that off. Any help would be great. P.S. I would love to see more vids/pics of this treehouse. It is the model for my build!

Looks like a great place for fun and has its own covered area underneath to enjoy. I really liked the music, although its not what I normally listen too, I found it very catchy, listened to it 3 times! lol
