Just thinking that a piece cut out in front of the window from the plywood behind the front facing shelves over the bed would also allow two shelves above the bed at the foot and head and would allow more light, easier window cleaning, easier curtain removal and more storage.

I fell like a lot of people have negative opinions, and I don't mean to add to that …my thought was just that you built such a nice piece, but it will only last a few years because it's a kids sized bed! Maybe that's on the clients poor foresight, though.

This is a great project, giving me some ideas for my own home.
This project was an amazing idea only problem with it is as a father I would never have my daughter sleeping that close to a window. Idk if its just me but I feel some sort of way about that.
