My side patio was a mess for as long as I can remember. When it comes to upkeep, a home is a never ending story!
inside and out! These are the before pictures of the patio.
I wanted to create a space that could be used. I removed all the rubble. Next I cleared the area and leveled it. I Boxed it in with 1×4, so I could pour the concrete. Before that I added conduit so I could run wires and have outlets around the area. I filled the frames with rocks, added rebar and mesh.
It was a back breaking job to pour and finish the slab. I was just one guy and had to mix as I went along. I did the two small ones one day and the larger box on another. Here you can see the slabs are curing. I added wind sails, they really make the space! I built seating along the fence line and attached a tall backing to it. All this lumber was 1×4 and 2×4. I covered the furniture them with enamel paint. I also built this smaller bench to tie the area together.
The cool thing about this patio project is, it feels modern and welcoming! The furniture also serves as privacy from prying eyes.
This is the space I created, I hope it gave you some ideas

Great job! I don't have the skill or the tools to make them myself but I wish I did,
I'd like to create a cozy space like that that preserves privacy from the neighbors too…
🙂
DAMB…….BROTHER…your work is GREAT…

A beautiful transformation. Nice job!
What can i say, great job as always! 😀
Very nice upgrade Eloy.
Very nice project!
you are a good woodworker Eloy !! i like the colour that you give them !!! and the protection of the curious eyes rocks !!! ha h ah ahah
Love how the benches are tied in with the fence panels to make one whole flowing piece. That's beautiful, it's all come together so well 🙂
I have mixed enough concrete by hand to shudder looking at that job. I encourage you to check with a local batch plant on whether they will ship approximately one yard. Some will; some have a minimum, like 3 yards. Actually, a closer look suggests that is more like 3 yards. Love the tall backs on your benches!
Wow major difference! now your ready to party!
That turned out killer dude,I really like that transformation
good stuff! is this where the gate will live?
