We build a tiki bar using recycled pallet wood to add to our off grid cabin site in the forest. For the first part of the building process we break the pallets down in our garage, using power tools to help speed up the process as we wanted to build this whole project in one day. The pallets we reclaimed for free from various industrial sites. This helped us to save money. Once we had cut and measured the pallets to size, we began building some bar stools from parts of pallet wood. We then sized up the frame for the bar itself. With this part of the building completed, we carried the wood into the forest to start work on building the tiki bar itself. We nailed the basic frame together, and then put some timber support poles for the wood roof. Using wide pieces of pallet wood, we built the roof of the tiki bar using the simple frame that we had made. We then made a small floor area out the front of the bar.
With the main build complete, we added some willow screening to the front of the bar to make the pallets less visible. We then added a few small shelves to put bottles on.
With the tiki bar in the woods now complete, we got the campfire going and cooked up a bbq on the cast iron grill and cooking tripod. The meal was burgers with cheese, and chicken and chorizo kebabs on the grill. We finished off the episode with some theory time.

The aim of this wilderness project was to build a small, one man tiny cabin from recycled pallet wood. The homestead site itself now has the pallet cabin complete with raised bed, woodstove, shelves, book case, folding table, plus a raised vegetable bed, front porch, bench, pallet picket fence and outdoor washing area.

EPISODE 13: The Pallet build continues! WARNING: Far too much fun was had in this video…. Thanks for joining us on the adventure!
Make a guestcabin and the Tiki Bar will make a fortune.
Maybe even a pallet metro directly from the Airport πππ
Well done, mates πππ
Viking π©π°
That was grilling, not barbecue'ing.
Barbecue is a long, slow, low temp process.
Yeah your right, you don't hear about acid rain no more
Nice little tiki bar, cheers for the idea
rename the tiki bar "Tiki To The Limit"
….next recycled pallet PICKUP TRUCK…come on man,the professor on Gilligan's Island built a car out of BAMBOO lol
Youβve made it look easy!
Awesomeness job!! You forgot chillin πΆ music.
Good work lads..let's begin party then..ππ€£
As I'm 5 days away from the 3 year anniversary of my Father shuffling off this mortal coil, I find this video.
Your Pops reminds me of mine: an excitable, lovely man who strives for nothing more than more time with his loved ones.
For anyone who might read this, do not take for granted fun, goofy projects such as this.
A project isn't even needed. Tell them that you love them. Interview them. Ask them their thoughts on world changing moments in their lifetime (every generation has had them as evidenced by the "theory time" portion), ask them about their day to day in their youth, ask them about Love.
Thank you for this fun project idea and for the peak into your relationship with your Dad.
bonjour et bonne appΓ©tit a vous
So who is the bar keep?
Nice to see father and son enjoying projects and having good ole fun!
Got anymore ads I can watch?
Hey I'm new to your channel and I think you and your dad have done amazing work with all that recycled stuff you have inspired me to make things keep up all the good work xx
acid rain was caused by the sulfur dioxide released by coal fired power plants, for the most part, combining with water vapor. Canada had a huge problem with this due to all the coal fired power plants along the great lakes. When the technology was developed to remove the sulfur dioxide acid rain almost vanished.
I just stumbled across you guys, as my hubby is just about to embark on a project to make a tiki bar out of pallets! Great inspiration was gained from your video!
P.s, you need to plant lots of mint (doesnβt need to be in pots, it grows anywhere) for your mojitos! πΈ
Like yalls little bar that yall have built food looks great I'm a big fan of y'alls and of your dad's on fishing yall make me laugh. God bless
Whatever you plant, make sure it's acid loving. You've rhododendron everywhere, plus you added peat to the planters soil.
you need to expand the hut with more pallets therefore you and your son could sleep in it
This is probably my favorite in this series π Father & son time, Burgers & Beer in the woods. What more can you ask for?
I can't tell if you were joking about kangaroo burgers, because you can get them and they're delicious
Theory: water and ash make Lye Soap. I think it's all just Lye. The world burnt so much wood 100- 300 years ago. Since she stopped much of that, I believe the acid rain is lessening here in Missouri were I live. You can drink most any water, especially the rain water. Lab test on snow and rain water are showing it's very pure and is close to that of top brand bottle water. It's when it goes down into the growned it picks up alot of junk. We drink paper filtered water from our steel roof.
The palette recliners/ palette village. Loving it. I'm a months behind, but really enjoying my time with you. Might want to see a dr about that ball tampering; not a healthy color. Lol.
I think itβs awesome π…!! The Quality time that you guys spend together, making memories. I lost my Dad in 2002 and the memories I have keeps me smiling…….! Your father reminds me of my Dad, Iβm hooked. By the way Iβm a girl..!!! π
