Hi friends! This week I got to finish a project that’s been patiently waiting for over 5 years! I found this beautiful dresser at an estate sale with my mom & grandma back when I was still in high school. We purchased it for $50 & I can remember being so excited because I didn’t have a dresser at all, let alone a solid wood beauty like this one.
We took it home & I immediately jumped on to Pinterest to see what I could do with it. The years passed & I eventually wrote this one off as a project I might get to someday.
Well the other day was THE day & it’s finally done! While it’s not a huge makeover it’s certainly a huge improvement & the best part is…it was super cheap! Supplies were under $50 & depending on the piece of furniture you makeover, this project can easily be under $100!

Stripping a dresser with no curves is simple. Try doing chairs or other furniture that have curvy legs. That really sucks.
I love the music!!!!!! It reminds me of Betty wrights music.
Great job.
Didnt change much
Great Job!!! I love the refresh!
I love those scratches it is like the furniture has a story.
Is a half of pint of polycrylic enough for a dresser that size? The big can is expensive, i want to make sure if the small one will be enough so i can save me some money 😁😀
Love it! Why do you have dislikes?
Don't know why it was necessary to include distracting music to your DIY dresser makeover. It would have been much better without it.
Dove always has the best commercials!
I would have spray painted the knobs a shiny new color like antique bronze or gold but still nice job!
I always like to see furniture retoration, so satisfying! Ok im sold on that topcoat/ sealer
