Ring Alarm FAQs – http://bit.ly/2zwaSkc

They initially released this last year but was pulled out before they can ship to their customers because of some legal stuff. But now, they are finally selling. The reason why I am excited about this alarm is that you can have professional monitoring for 10 dollars a month or $100 dollars a year. Not only that, if you already have Ring cameras and have signed up for their protect plus plan…which is unlimited Ring cameras cloud storage access, then the monitoring is already included. So, for 10 bucks a month or 100 dollars a year, all your Ring cameras will have cloud storage for recorded footage and you don’t have to pay extra for the Ring alarm to get monitored.

Now, compare this with Nest Secure..which the alarm kit is $400 dollars and if you want professional monitoring, they partnered with Brinks which you can get monitored for 20 dollars a month but with a 3 year contract. Also, if you have Nest cameras, you still have to pay for their cloud recording access..which depends on the number of cameras you have.

How about Simplisafe…they are the ones who started this DIY alarm systems which their cheapest package is $230 bucks and monitoring starts at 15 dollars a month.. they also have cameras which to view recorded footage you have to pay extra 5 dollars a month per camera and they don’t have outdoor or weatherproof cameras.

$10.00 A Month × 12 Months = $120.00 A Year!

Did you have trouble with the motion sensor? I put mine 7.5 ft up in the corner and i can’t get it to detect anything. It’ll detect once in a while but i walked back and forth in the room and waved my hand in front of it and nothing.

j ross says:

At the sensors encrypted?

Savan Panchal says:

Great review. Currently in process of looking for home security for a house. Too many options. My top choice is Frontpoint but it is almost 45 bucks a month. I am wanting to get this Base Ring System along with having 2 more motion sensors, getting back outdoor camera and Ring Door Bell Pro is currently on sale at Amazon Prime – should I do this??

Tony Falcone says:

Just installed mine, extremely easy to do. It replaces my $40/month service So far so good. I also have a SimpliSafe system at work for $25/month with fewer features. I'll be replacing that system with Ring too.

Alan says:

Does the cellular backup with AT&T cost extra?

Laura Seymour says:

I installed this set up recently and LOVE IT! This company is amazing and I plan to be loyal customer!

Sparklander says:

I also purchased this system to go with my Ring Doorbell, Ring Floodlight Cam, and Ring Spotlight Cam. It will arrive next week. I will let you know how I like the system.

Donte Brooks says:

I have a question. Does the alarm work with the cameras. In other words does the alarm trigger when motion is detected on the cameras?

RamGen1 says:

I’ve been waiting for a review of the Ring Security System! Well done, thank you.

Jany Rodriguez says:

Ring is killing it

G Nunchuk says:

Are the motion detectors pet sensitive?

G Nunchuk says:

May be an option, but we see -30C temps, and the Ring doorbell does not operate below -15C

Michael O'Campo says:

Bought this the week it came out and I love it! Easy to setup, easy to use, consistent/reliable and best part I'm not paying ADT $60 a month! If you're thinking about it, just do it!
