I've seen this before from covering patio items up for the winter or summer. What happens is you actually end up with trapped moisture inside the cover which leads to warping, material expansion, and also corrosion. I've solved this by installing grommets at the top to let more ventilation to occur which has solved many of these issues for me..

That's a lot of work uncovering the sink; the sides look great unfinished, and I bet they'll look even better as they age..:-)

I think it's great that you keep bees! My Japanese grandfather was a beekeeper. I had two hives. I've been thinking about getting into it, again. I love the bee fountain. You already had a customer for it, too! Your outdoor set up looks so clean and neat!
