In this Wasteland Wednesday, we continue the journey of completing the DIY motorcycle handguards. Thank you everyone for your amazing suggestions! Alone I can come up with some pretty wild ideas, but you all have more creativity that, when put together, makes for one radical work of art!

Car Tires VS Dirtbike Tires
The car tire I tried to use originally was far too heavy, and while it may work for another project, it was a good starting point. Dirtbike tires do no contain the same metal wires that car tires do, making it much easier to cut and much lighter in weight.

I love the way these DIY handguards came out! I plan to add another bolt and clean up the edges, but I’d say this was a success.

But do they work???
You will have to find out in the next video…

Random suggestion: You should make a bracket to hold a lantern (like an old kerosene lamp) that fits onto the headlight assembly (just for looks and added wasteland ghetto cred) that you can switch out. Then ride the bike out to an old factory and take some sweet b-roll.

That's cool. Now all you need to top it off would be a shell from a large alligator snapping turtle to use as fairing. I've seen it done. It looks killer.
