Watch in 1080p. Today I’m doing something COMPLETELY different, so this video may not be for you. This video is NOT about RC, but if you want to see one of my other great passions, feel free to watch.

I’m building a playhouse for our 5 year old twin girls. I’m their “bonus-dad” and living in Norway, on a large plot gave me the opportunity to construct them their own little cabin. We live out in the woods, and despite there being a lot of trees, there was no suitable tree large enough to make a treehouse. So I mixed it up a bit: The house is built on top of a rock, and mounted on 4 large stilts. I try to explain as much as possible about the process of taking on a project like this, and try to give you a few tips on where you could save a bit of money. The materials used add up to around 1200 dollars, but all depends on size of the playhouse and what you can get your hands on to recuperate.

I think it’s important to stimulate creativity and being outdoors as well as kids having their own little cosy place, and apart from building your kids something nice you can end up with a nice accessory for your garden.
