Today on Modern Builds I’m experimenting with 3/4″ electrical conduit to create a modern TV / record console. This project was a fun one and has given me a TON of other ideas. If you plan on building this project yourself, don’t forget to follow the link to my site where I have FREE downloadable PDF plans available.

countersink drill bits only $1 a piece, corner clamp $5 a piece, it helps alot
Wow this is likely my least favorite project I’ve seen on your channel. I liked nothing about this build.
When using the conduit bender, the star mark on the bender can be used to get an accurate back-to-back distance when bending two 90s on a single piece of conduit. I would look into that so you could get more accurate bends
👍👏👏👏 Brasil , são Paulo ….você e o melhor
Very nice work, love it… thanks for share, I’ll try this console this year, have a great 2019 my friend Best regards from Tijuana, Mx
Looks awesome Mike! The key about foot pressure on the bender is to keep your center of gravity on it, don't lean with the handle – extend the arm. I really like the oak plug accents.
W Polsce na taką konsole mówimy sanki.
How do you keep the console from rocking with those legs?
Plz make a home tour
random question
how much did you buy you carpentry materiels (all of those used in this videos ) , your work looks clean and creative
and make me want to learn by myself basic
thank's
Mike trying to pronounce accumulative is the best moment of 2019 so far
Those legs don't look strong enough. Looks like the hole for them were drilled a little to big.
This Console legs is not appropriate. It looks like sleigh. 😐
The colors or stain you put on it’s not give justice of the console. (Boring or plain) maybe if the color is dark e.g black or stained dark also the legs maybe it’s ok to look at: but I’m not fun of the legs: in my opinion.
Those legs are smoking!
Love it! But why didn't you spray the conduit copper?
I like the innovative thinking on this one man! Turned out sweet!
Awesome video as per usual! You asked for ideas for the legs – I think they'd be awesome on a chez longe or sofa! if you did a modern sofa with curved padded corners at the top that mirrored the legs I think it'd look gorgeous…. I find the square top of the console battles a bit with the futuristic rounded legs. Plus pill-shapes and 'sqround' lol is having a moment right now. As an aside, I think its really nice having some rounded modern furniture. So much of modern furniture in the DIY community is so sharp and rectangular, and its quite nice to have softer forms. Awesome work as per usual! You always always inspire me to make!
Always like your videos. Your voice sounds different though. Different audio?
Love this so much
Nice, I like the white legs, but I guess you could try a hammered copper paint applied to the conduit. This is very clean looking, I like it. We have rolled copper tubing in our shop, but it was larger, with a 1/8” wall thickness. We made sure that the pipe was warm and inserted a garden hose inside to help shield against collapse, couldn’t get a very tight radius though. Not very strong either and scratches easily.
Very nice build, and i love the way that the legs turned out on it. You could i suppose substitute the Conduit for small Wooden Legs or even no Legs at all, whatever it's still a great build so well done.
Happy New Year to You and your Family.
