Your nice cloths nice always building stuff in them lol.

SFF Author B.L. Alley says:

The first thing you should have done after dismantling the old post is remove the non-metallic sheathed wire from the conduit. Romex should never be used inside conduit since it will build up excess heat. Either run UF directly in the ground or pull thermoplastic conductors (typically THHN) through the conduit directly into a junction box. From there you can run Romex inside a hollow post, but as a former electrician I'd run conduit all the way to the top of the post and into the base of the light fixture.

Jack Moua says:

Looks like a whole lot of work lol

I watch all your videos and I love your channel, but I personally never use molding on any of my projects because I have a very minimal aesthetic. Oddly enough, I love your use of it in your projects. I guess it goes to show that while personal taste may vary, the appreciation of great craftsmanship is impossible to deny while viewing your work. Your home is complimented by your work and has a great style and theme to it. Although it is different from mine, it suits you perfectly! I learn an immense amount from watching these and hope to apply some of the techniques to my woodworking and home projects in the future. Wonderful work, Jon!
