Rob Edmiston says:

Cool chair! Why do the rods stick out so far? Why not recess the outside leg to hide the nut? Just a thought

violetgrowers says:

Great work Carl, very inspirational to a noob wood worker like me. Do you have printable plans for the legs on this so i can get the smooth lines right?

Inhalin1514 says:

For such a simple design its looks amazing! Well done bud

Max Moeller says:

Great work Carl! I love the leg design, gives it a nice look!
I decided to build a few myself based off your plans and the only problem I have is getting the chair to fold. I tightened every joint so all the wood pieces are just touching. Is that how you did it? At least for me by that point the wood was binding so much that the chair wouldn't fold. I can't tell exactly from the pictures but it looks like you pulled all the joints tight so each wood piece touches the next, correct? I had to crank on those that joints to get them to this point afraid I was going to break something.

The Dressdude says:

I made one of these today. As I am a student, it was kind of a budget build – handsaw, a sheet of sand paper and cheap planks. It did, however, turn out pretty cool, which I guess goes to show that a good design outweighs fancy stuff : )

Dody Lloyd says:

How do you find out where to drill the holes for them?

Bill Livolsi says:

Carl does flat work? Nice! I love it.

VillaT says:

Wonderful process. But looks like I'll be buying mine. Love all your shop machinery? Tools? Amazing to see how a well oiled process looks for wood work. 🙂

MrCowboy1492 says:

Way too fast…. Not enough detail. Tri-split screen very confusing….I as confused as a baby in a topless bar!

yaks6312 says:

thanks for the video. great music. what kind of wood did you go with on this project?

brogan whittaker says:

Brought a tear to my eye thousand including myself will now make these

Steve Owen says:

Quick Question. Do you have a materials list for the wood by chance? I was wanting to build one of these, but didn't know how much lumber to buy.

MugoiKihaku says:

waht is the rod? can you link it?

N_AKMAR 69 says:

Gurpreet Singh says:

Just ultimate!!!

Harish Somayaji says:

Hi Carl

I made a chair like this a while back. The only problem I have is that when I fold the chair the rods make a huge creaking noise. Any idea why this happens?

Frederik says:

instead of a rod, we used rope to hold the wood together. needs a slightly larger hole to be drilled, but the mrs. likes the more rustic look on it

Braiden Luedtke says:

does anyone know what size rod and drill bit he used

pixelspring says:

very inspiring

Gunadi Clarity says:

beautifullllllll………

Justin Upton says:

How strong do these chairs end up being – could they hold someone weighing 225lbs?
