This thing just saved my RX-8. When I was roaming around, my car stalled for no reason and I tried to bring it back on. As I did that, the cat went on fire due to the unburnt fuel, caused by a dead spark plug, ignited with immense exhaust heat. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and it saved my ass that day. It's one of the greatest investment of owning a tuner car, in my opinion.
My car has a factory fire extinguisher on a proper bracket and everything but it's loose in the boot and not bolted to anything and I don't know where it belongs.
Edit: I looked it up and it bolts to the front of the driver's seat. Seems a much more accessible place than in the boot.

Those small powder extinguishers are absolutely useless.
I had a fire extinguisher in my car for 11 years, not once did I even remotely need it, it is now mounted in the garage.

Just be careful not to kick it and set it off. Drove box trucks for delivery and when I was a rookie I was getting in and kicked the fire extinguisher and loaded the cabin with white dust. 😛
