sfausnacht says:

If you made the hangers long enough you could use a caster under the rail as well that would hold the rail up and would match the style of the door hanger. It wouldn't roll or anything it would simply take the place of your screw.

Viks Singh says:

Why don’t you drill through the middle of the pipe with a long screw? (Straight in to the frame with a spacer and small washer on the pipe)

Crafted Workshop says:

That quote… πŸ˜‚

Fred McIntyre says:

Awesome job Mike! πŸ‘πŸ‘Š

JJ Kim says:

Cut the conduit fastener in half, fold so it makes a 'u' channel, add a spacer and screw into the frame. It keeps the top half uncovered for the caster to roll on and supports the full width on the bottom.

cardsfanbj says:

Really like the diy barn doors. All the hardware I've ever seen has been pretty pricey

Revived Builds says:

Nice job on the sliding door. It is the easiest one Ive seen yet.

evan knop says:

Idk if this will work but its an idea. Take one of those conduit clips and cut it in half and put it up

kayzeko says:

Use a curtain rod hanger

thewookie09 says:

Could you just drill and screw through the conduit directly? Instead of underneath? No need for the brackets if you did that.

Jared Bender says:

Subscribed for the office quote

Alex Jonk says:

You can use the same wheels that you use on the doors to hold up the pipe rail

Irwan Sanip says:

How you cut the plywood straight without use any track tool?

DIY Gene says:

Wow, I like the barn doors. Great job.

Kurt White says:

Cut a 2 hole EMT strap in half or modify a single hole EMT strap so that it doesn't interfere with the operation of the door. Also, paint both sides of the door, it will prevent it from warping. Unpainted wood absorbs moisture at a different rate than painted wood, so it shrinks and expands at different rates, causing warping.

Don Eizen says:

Same as Hammer and Nail comments

Kaytlen Rinaldi says:

Just take one of the pipe supports you have and cut in In half widthwise. Possibly install a standoff on the roller assembly. Install from the bottom so that the roller rolls over but does not catch. Just an idea. What did you end up doing in the end?

XZane says:

For your "hold-up-problem" – why not simple drilling a hole through the pipe and securing it with a screw?
Okay, a visible hole in the front of the pipe remains, but that can be fixed too I suppose… ^^
