Curtis Keller says:

Wiggin says:

6:10 that thumb looks like it's talking. double jointed huh? Great vid btw.

Nicholas Huss says:

Is this pipe pitched coming from the house so the water can flow better or can u run it flat with no pitch and let the back pressure do its thing?

sagitario12ish says:

Good job apple drains, very good!!!

Eddie Ljesnjanin says:

Great video. Thanks.

Brent Johnson says:

What grade do you recommend for the drain pipe? I have used 1/8” per foot

Clifford L says:

even if they are water proof wire nuts you cant just put splice like that in the wire and put dirt on it well fuck the sprinkler system up. Some one will have to run new wire because no one will find that splice when it fails .

Clifford L says:

no primer? i hope you put a cover on wire splice in case the that fails and need to be checked.

Micheal Stillabower says:

How do I do this if I have the lowest of the 3 yards in my cul da sac? I live in a fairly rural area so there is not a drain system out by me.

Clean Earth Hauling Junk Removal says:

Hi nice work. Can you pop up with the drain outlet everytime, or are there occasions where you have to go through the city curb? Thanks.

canada calling says:

Hi apple drains. Thx for the vids. One question. In a previous video of yours you had a solid white pipe with holes in the down side for water to seep upward. In this video you seemed to have abandoned that concept. I am sure there is a reason. Want to share your thoughts on gravel surrounding a holed pipe versus this flex pipe with no holes? Thx for you answer. Cheers from Canada

Aaron Rippstein says:

I like how you made your own coupling. You could also use the other 4" long piece and do the same thing but to the outside and use 2 zip ties to make it tight, just like the larger diameter couplings. Great video, shows how a regular crew goes in and does a simple job and properly fixes damaged utilities. Good job.

Delaware Teacher says:

Thank you for being amazing on youtube!

Pirouz Farhani says:

Isn't that 4" pipe supposed to be perforated? Is there a chance that water may stay there and freeze during cold season?

Dialectical Monist says:

Here comes a stupid question…

How does the water get out of the drain if it is pointed up at the very end?

Obviously, with enough water during the rain it will be forced out, but after the rain is over there will still be a lot of water in the pipe I would think, correct?

Jason Michel says:

Random question, will the pop up on the drainage side erode the sidewalk away. Or the fill under it over time?

Terri Taw says:

I got a quote for a 16-foot french drain for $450; after looking at the items on the quote, and looking at videos such as this, I can see where I was going to get ripped off; I priced out at the local DIY store, and it is less than $90; thank you so much for showing me what I need to do, and those neat little tricks with the pipe.
