Great videio. I really love how you took the extra time to explain how the seat and washer work together when functional and what to watch for (seat wear) before just assuming you need to only replace the rubber washer. Now I head out to put this knowledge to use!!! Thanks again!

thanks Coach!

Any suggestions on what to do if the spindle nut is too far into the wall to grip it with a wrench??

Thank you! Very good!

MrNashGussets says:

Nice, but I'd add some Teflon tape to the valve threads before reinserting.

Jan Miller says:

Very well done. No wasted video time. The video gets right to the instruction and the narration stays on topic. The narrator must be a professional plumber! I highly recommend this video. The only thing that might have been included is to show how to remove difficult old handles that won't easily come off. But as it is, this video is EXCELLENT !

Matthew McReynolds says:

Thanks for the video. My dad was always the handyman and had his own home renovation business. My brother and I were the yard boys. We never got a chance to learn anything from him dealing with the inside of the house. Plumbing, electrical, drywall or anything. With himpassing away two years ago, we're struggling to try to maintain my moms house.

DolceBaciLQ says:

Great Video! Do you follow the same protocol if there is a shower head?

Mark Rew says:

Our new Chicago brand shower faucet was leaking so I suspected a bad seal or obtrusion. I've repaired faucets but it's been years. This was extremely helpful and simply explained. Turned out the washers/seals were still good but there wwere a couple small copper pieces preventing a firm seal. Thank you!

Laura Hicks says:

Very nicely detailed, now I actually understand what's going on back there.

Elizabeth Martinez says:

It's the seat that's messed up on mine! I wondered why replacing the washer did not work.

Tim Penney says:

This is an awesome video. Thank you so much!!!!

James McFarland says:

Very easy to follow. Step by step! Nice! Sometimes you can feel the seat wth your finger and feel any damage (burrs etc)

T G Wilson says:

Thanks for your tutorial. I used it to fix our leaky bath faucet successfully. 1980s bath fitting, so was in dire need of changed washers. It was practically non-existent in the hot water faucet.

Christina Daly says:

Thanks so much !!!!!

Mary Quillin says:

when I turn my shower on water still runs in the bathtub
