If your main shut off doesn't shut off enough to stop the drips, you can shove a piece of bread in the pipe, (not the crust). The water will make it turn to mush and wash right out.

It's a shame that I didn't have videos like this when I was younger. Kids these days have it made. I learned the hard way that you had to heat the work piece first instead of applying heat to the solder…oh well, nice video!
