How to make Fairy Garden House Lamp using Paper Clay / Polymer Clay / Dry Air Clay.
This tutorial show you how to made I made a fairy tree house using a aluminium foil, hot glue, paper clay, transparent plastic film and acrylic paint. It’s fun to make and you can use it as a decoration, secret hiding spot, or you can even turn it into a lamp by adding some battery operated LED candle lights.

*** Materials and Tools :
– One empty jar with lid (Nescafe GOLD coffee jar),
– Aluminum foil,
– Das modelling material – http://amzn.to/2r5FEHY (or Polymer clay)
– Hot glue
– Acrylic paint
– Transparent plastic film
– Hot glue gun
– Clay sculpture tool

NB : I used “Das modelling material” but you can any paper clay or even a homemade paper clay). I don’t use natural air dry clay, it will shrink and that will result in a lot of cracks around your jar. So paper clay is the best to use in this type of craft.

You're awesome! This is such a piece of art! 😀
I have tried air dry clay too, not Das, but Plus clay. Made some houses, not at this level, but okay. But I have horrible problems with crackling. It doesn't seem to matter if I make the layer thick or thin. I get cracks all over the houses and have to go in with extra clay to cover it up after. How you make it less cracking and all those fin details on the doors and windows not bending and get wobbly?

Wow, fantastic!! I've recently begun 'playing' with Das clay and have had some really good results (nothing anywhere near your talents) …but I notice how soft and smooth you get your clay…is this just by kneading it? Thanks 🙂 have subscribed 🙂
