This dad has created the ultimate solution to rainy days stuck indoors by building his children an incredible homemade treehouse in the basement.
Mechanical engineer Jared – known as The Evening Woodworker – masterfully built the indoor treehouse in the basement of his home in Washington for his sons.
Taking approximately eight months of Jared’s spare evenings, the fantasy fort was constructed from unused wood from his neighbour, repurposed into a small room, ladder, rope bridge and even a bucket on a winch.
With most of the wood costing nothing, the total cost of the dream build was only $500 for tools and other materials to finish the treehouse.
