After you learn about the pliability of wet wood, these tricks become a little underwhelming. Like that wooden arrow through a glass bottle opening. Significantly less of a novelty/oddity.

Look up and study the history of wood and particularly in tools and mechanics. It will amaze you how we think we are smart now they didn't even have computer CNC machines nor iron ore hadn't been discovered yet.

I like this woodworking book “pepe amazing plan” (Google it). A few of the topics reviewed in the book include woodworking tactics, justification on the development cycles of trees, and various lumber features that craftsmen favor. I actually had to get a 2nd copy for my father.
