Looks great ! , I'm off to Lowes , and Home Depot to check out pond supply's and my barrel pond is doing well .
I think that you should add a few rocks and then maybe a school of minnows
You can never go wrong with livebearers,get mollies or even assorted guppies
That filter would be perfect to do some aquaponics in my opinion. You should try some herbs or vegetables!

I live in Greece and the weather gets REALLY hot in the summer about 106 degrees Fahrenheit. How can I prevent the 9 tubs that I have already set up from boiling?

guppies, gold white clouds, medaka, anything tough and small. Has anyone tried Endlers in a pond? No goldfish, the pond is too small.
Maybe some "natives" like mosquito fish or dollar sunfish
