This is the third piece of furniture I’ve made with Douglas Fir. There are links to the other two projects below and all include free design plans on my website. For this project, Imade a small end table or side table because I had one really nice bored left over from the sofa table build. The Douglas Fir board measured only 70“ x 7 1/4“ so I had some design constraints and decided to make a simple box and used dovetails as the decorative element. My favorite part of the project was shaping the legs and I’ll probably use something similar to this leg design in a future project.

Nice table and workmanship!! I like how the YT content creators watch each other too!!
Dude, you should making stripings on cars, really nice lines.
Nice looking table. Thanks
Hi, Jon. Nice little table! I was wondering why you went for dove tails here rather than, say, box joints?
Beautiful project! I'm sure there are "many" out there who would sneer at using 2×4's, but I find the grain on Douglas Fir so amazing and nobody said every piece has to be expensive mahogany!! Great Job Jon!
NICE !🔨🔨👍
has anyone else Laughed out of ignorance as to the involvement in this DIY video??? now I know why IKEA modular furniture just comes with an Allen wrench and is so successful.
That looks great! My only minus is that you went through all the trouble of hand cut dovetails and then used screws
to assist in holding the legs on. They can be seen, and are not pretty. Thanks for the videos and for the format of
explaining what you are doing and why. Thanks again Jon!
Loving that “machine gun” chisel you used for the dovetails!
Do you get snipe on a drum sander the same as you do on a thickness planer?
Love this design!
You put me onto Mohawk a few years back and I've loved using the products (even tho they're difficult to get in Australia).
You've been using Mohawk products for as long as I have been alive. That's loyalty.
Love the design! Great project.
Shit looks like it was built in an hour out of a pallet.
Why not hog out the dovetails with a bandsaw or copeing Saw? They came out great, but it seems like a lot of work.
Came out awesome 😎 👍
3:05 so satisfying
I like that sofa table very much, and the end table is very good, too. Good ideas for the future.
Nicely done Jon! 👍🏻👊🏻
Awesome craftsmanship, Jon. Glad to see you went with hand cut dovetails. The leg proportions however are just too clunky for that little table and why would you pick HD grade construction lumber to build your furniture? What is it 6 growth rings per inch?
My wife loves your videos not because of the woodworking but she loves the sound of your voice 🙂
This piece of furniture are about as ugly as it gets.
Mais um belo trabalho. Parabéns abraço de Caxias do sul RS 🇧🇷.
Can a round over router bit be used to round of the legs. Thanks
Fantastic Jon. And thanks for free plans.
Nice work. Terrible design. Extremely ugly.
На мой взгляд напрашивается второй и третий ряд. Повыше тумбочка была бы симметричней.))
If you're worried about cutting into a biscuit, why did you use them?
Well done, Jon. Some nice tips and really good quality to your video production.
