This is my SimpliSafe Home Security System. This Simplisafe Review contains a review on the actual system, as well as the iPhone Application. Shortly after doing my Simplisafe review they added the Pin # to the iPhone app to help make it secure — YAY!
I installed everything myself (basically its just peeling and sticking sensors). There are no wires that need to be ran for this system as it is completely wireless.
All Sensors run on CR123 Lithium batteries which typically will last 5 years in this scenario.

Buddy prep the walls before you paint.
Seems like you would need a battery backup for the base station. All of the sensors use battery power but it doesn't seem like the base station has that option.
Excellent thorough overview thanks
The one big disadvantage to Simplisafe which needs to be addressed is the main control panel does not have "smash and grab" protection; only the keypads do.
what about the garage door
Do you have to sign up for monitoring to get a text that your alarm went off or does the system notify you
It's 2016 this video was posted three years ago so what is your experience with it after having it for three years
Have they updated their app
What if I see the base through the window, so I bust the window and the base as quickly as possible?
make sure to check the window sensors for small magnets after having a visitor/s,that should foil their evil plans!
Go ahead and surrender your personal privacy for empty promises of better security. There's only one question we had to ask ourselves, in order to come up with products that never require monitoring. Never require monitoring fees, Never require complex codes when your under duress. And takes your security from 23% with every possible system you'll see in the world, all the way up to 97% crime proof.
Would you ask a used car salesmen, "am I getting a good deal?" What do you think they're going to say? YES YOU ARE! But you know deep down inside, you got taken. Now you know.
Everyone should share this information on your FB. Alarm companies are not experts in your security! If they try to convince you that monitoring a camera on your phone is a good thing. Let me ask you this. What good is it when your across town and you see two burglars wearing a two dollar disguise in your home? You can't recognize them and all you've done is surrender your rights to privacy when any two bit hacker can look in your home!! What good is it for your alarm system to call a monitoring station, in Kansas? All they can do is call police for you, and by the time they go through the five man relay team and an officer actually shows up at your home or business. Criminals have done their dirty deed and are long gone with your property. How many of you have every got your property back? Lets just say the odds of winning the lottery are better. When you want better than the so called best. YOU NEED ME! If you don't care, then you will when you become the next victim. How do I know? With more than 30 years in the industry. That's then only time you care and call. AFTER YOU BECOME THE NEXT VICTIM! Times are tough but, they are only getting ready to get tougher!
i wonder if someone were to remove one of your systems (pocket it when you're not looking) would you be notified and how. on their website there is nothing about this. I would like this for a small office.
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY… STAY PARANOID 🙂
I thought it didn't need a phone cable for the base system. What happens if you don't have landline service?
But a thief is going to smash and break the window… he isnt likely to LIFT UP or OPEN a window if its locked. and he will see an alarm there anyway so he wont access the home via this particular window,.
