Bring Your Own Tools (Episode #8) delves into restoring an old neglected back yard into a vibrant new lawn. This is from start to finish project including weeding, leveling, tilling, sprinkler system, seeding and everything in between.
CORRECTION: 5 to 7LBS of seed per 1,000sqf, NOT 100sqf.
O and here is the link for the Rain Bird sprinkler system installation video: https://youtu.be/tJEVc2p7XWk

"If you need a soil calculation sheet to know how much yardage you need." "Talk to someone or look online." Hey thanks dick!
any idea how much money all that cost? just material?
I have to say… this has been the most thorough diy video I've seen… you did an awesome job on your recording, narrating, and work. You earned my sub and thumbs up.. looking forward to seeing more of your work. How much was did this project cost over all? Looking to do this to my yard.
dude that was alot! kudos and hats off to ya!
Your video was very helpful and informative from start to finish. Saved me some serious $$$.
That's so much damn work, but looks fun!
You're funny as hell buddy. Good work !
You made this look so easy
Did anyone notice a worm on 1:41 in left bottom corner?
There should have been a banjo playing during the time lapse…
You made who ever owned that house before you your bitch and also you are domination your neighbors now
My lawn is not as bad as what you started with here, but is very bumpy and uneven. I'd like to follow the system you used here but kill the grass first. I'd like to do it quickly but I don't want to use roundup as it is expensive and not very eco-friendly when used on the scale I plan. Does anyone have a cheap and green solution?
How would I go about reseeding my front lawn if my dirt is really mixed with weeds and a lot of rocks? My yard was destroyed after I had to replace the main water line to the house and removed 2 trees.
dang! u did all that!
I thought I wanted to do my own lawn until I saw how much work it was …. I'll just hire some Mexicans 🤷🏾♂️
Great video!! Very informative. What area of the states are you in? I'm in Florida and need serious help with the lawn in my new house. By the looks of your soil (and sweater) I'm betting you're not in FL 😂. Either way the principles look to be useful in any climate
This was fun to watch!
You should update you backyard video, with all you creativity and dedication, I wonder what it looks like now.?
Bro. You are a beast of a lawn machine pro., best ever video I've seen,,,!!!!
is that the tractor supply grass seed 29.99$?
Respect your willpower on this project.
His arms look so toned from all that hard work 😏
what's the point of leveling the dirt when you going to put soil on top just level up the soil
That was a great overview. Can you share an updated picture of the lawn?
I would have just used glyphosate to get a fresh start instead of hand weeding, could still have live weeds below the surface.
You've a very beautiful way of making the video interesting. 👍🏼 😊
you should of rented a bobcat or some sort of machine
So do you just add more seed to the bare spots? Do you have to do anything to the soil in those bare spots before adding more seed? Thanks
