like your porch
hello how you doing I saw I saw your YouTube video last year and this year I decided in February and January to make something like that I now call it the bryces lazy porch Garden take a look at it so I want to thank you for the idea
That's pretty f-ing brilliant, brother.
Thanks Lamar, you are an inspiration. Stay healthy, keep the faith, and know we look for your vids all the time. No pressure brother but a lot of folks sure like you. Thanks a lot for all your help in our journey off grid.
Thanks for posting Got your e-book
HEY LAMAR! I was over my grandmothers and saw an article in Mother Earth News. There was the solar cabin and Lamar sitting on the front porch..Great article , keep the videos coming cheers Mike Pa
What a great idea!
awesome video Lamar! i have a 8 x 20 porch on our cabin it is screened in our cat and dogs like to sun there in nice weather,, we depend on our porch for extra space our cabin is 14 x 32 this is an excellent idea and im gonna do it next year for sure. also gives me a place to set my seedlings for the garden!! thanks!!
great video. How did you seal the floor from heat/cold bleed?
Hey Lamar, great idea with the plastic. I've been thinking of putting a greenhouse on my porch to extend my growing season a bit, maybe even all year if I can. It's good to know that your porch is staying so warm with such a thin layer of plastic. I've been watching your vids for a few years now and enjoy your consistently good content. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this video man! I can't see why this isn't standard for every porch. Houses should come with something to attach to the porch that looks nice and still does the job. Makes too much sense I guess. Also just want to say your videos helped inspire me to start working to living this way. I'm prepping for the move. Just got my wood stove/ fire place insert and looking for a spot now too. I can't go too far from the city though cause I wanna stay close to my kid so I'll have to wait to be completely off-grid but I'll get as close to it as I can. THANKS!
When I was a kid, my Dad would cover the inside window with clear plastic and it did wonders in keeping the heat in and cold out… really good idea for on your porch…
You are such an inspiration, thanks
Hey Lamar, it's a great new update. I'm a big fan. Always a pleasure to get a new lesson from you. -John
