Reduce the blotchy clear finish by making long consistent strokes across the entire work piece by moving your body and not your arm. If you miss a spot just keep going. After the first coat dries go over it again and make sure to hit the bad spots in the same long consistent strokes. Works for me with clear finishes.Â
