Maureen’s five-year-old loves to play with pretend food and cook stuff up in the play kitchen. She bought some pretend food at the store, but the plastic pieces keep getting stepped on, and the little cardboard boxes didn’t last a week. Luckily, Sakura has come up with new shades of Pentouch® paint markers, which means that it will be easy and inexpensive to make a durable set of play food from wood!

I'm by no means a crafty person! But I think I could totally handle this. Thanks for such a simple video. I love wooden toys and was searching for food play items.

Jeanie Gregory says:

What a creative idea! I have the wood but no small children. Lol thank you

Amii says:

Why does the song say, "Don't try this at home?" It's a little misleading. I know it's supposed to say "Try this at home." By itself but it sounds like it's telling us not to, haha.
