I am not a carpenter but I enjoy tackling new challenges. I’ve been wanting to build a shed/garage in my backyard for a few years and finally had the time and money to do so. I spent many hours online and in magazines researching and planning. I knew I would be working alone so I had to plan things a bit differently than if I had helpers. I stole some great ideas from others before and during this adventure and I hope someone will be able to steal something from me here.

It's tough to begin building a shed, it's needed time, energy & experience.

Holy cow that is impressive. I'm going to build a small shed to use as practice for fixing the god-awful problems around my house and avoid the expense of paying someone else to do it. Like shingling. Not a carpenter either, just an avid DIYer.
