We don't think you are cheap, we think you are being "FRUGAL". Nice work on the build with pallets. This is something we have talked about on our Facebook Page for treehouses / club houses for kids. If you have pictures of this from the build to finish that you want to share, we would love to have them. For anyone checking out this video, if you are thinking about building a treehouse/clubhouse/fort of your own you might get some ideas. Yeah, you have four support posts, one at each corner with a tree in the middle , which isn't supporting the structure.
Its a fucking look out / what ever , on stilts ( dead tree logs ) with a tree going through it. Not a tree house.
Nice use of the pallets though.
Saw the deer tail wag at 6:57, finally. Inspiring salvage and repurpose. Dimensional cutting Cedar logs makes good saw dust for the shop floor…your planks were damn straight…did you use any kind of a jig for the bar to follow. Pretty cool tower. Good ballsy Cedar tree @ center & one simple center beam, Four corner, braced support posts on blue stone piers should last your lifetime, less you over-max it with a bunch of peeps and kegs and shush. My favorite simple perch i've built sits in public land w national landmark status in a MI S.P., high atop the apex summit in an old growth, Oak forested chain of dunes along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. The apex is around 200' above the Great Lake Michigan elevation. Views are 360 panoramic. The opposite, due West shore line is 65 miles across at Chicago & there are a coupla dozen skyscrapers tops that you can make out with binoculars and a few with unaided eye.
