Ok hello all, sorry for the re-publish… had a little issue with the stability of the first release of the video, re rendered it and all appears good now! Thumbs up please! … share, subscribe, comment to your hearts delight! … Love from Mr and Mrs Dubious!
I can relate to how tough it is to build, but the finished product is so rewarding!
Feel free to check out my build.. Her name is Big Burtha. She's a 350lb tank with a 27in monitor, waay too many buttons (trial and error) and around 6000 games.. There's a couple videos.
Two of my buttons on my arcade stick seem to not work like if they dont exist any help ??? I wanna map them to play street fighter
How did you configure buttons? I have a zero delay encoder also. When I boot pi it asks for all the inputs, I get through most but get stuck at L&R bumper and thumb sticks. I have 1 joystick and 8 buttons each side.
It's ok. But far from the ultimate.
two men having conversations about their joysticks. love it π
Impressive work, especially keeping things straight with the jigsaw. Why did you opt to use the hand saw to do a lot of the early cuts?
Makes me want to build one that I've been kicking around in my head for the last few years!
Finish the screen with a smokey glass plate or matt smokey perspex finish, it will increase the contrast and reduces the backlight and you cannot see the border.
Really enjoyed watching you work on this. That machine looks great. Awesome music choice too.
nice DIY. Removing the buttons / joysticks before spray-painting would be my choice for a cleaner finish.
Good job. Only using a hand saw is impressive.
Nah. Only my cousins 'arcade' machine looks worse… but hey. seems u had some fun while buildin… #1 an arcade machine needs T-Molds…
A Jersey Jacks Wizard Of OZ can't be many of those in the UK.
There is something so satisfying about watching this. Watching a small credit card sized computer take on the shape of an arcade machine clearly mad with passion. The reason I find this so entertaining is that it's so obvious to tell that you're loving what you're doing here, that's the making of quality content. Looking forward for the content in the future, keep on having fun!
Very cool build video and cabinet.
pretty cool i want a decent arcade someday all i have now is mt retro collection and 1 pachinko machine maybe something like this is what i need
Nice work, I've just started using emulators on the PC
howard did you paint that with a sweeping brush ..lol brill video as always..
13th!!!! Keep playing Mrs. Dubious!!!
Quality! Love it.
PS: Where did you get that hat from? I need one.
It looks great, well done.
So you havenβt taken any fingers off with the router yet then? π
Nice one, funny, tonight I was sniffing round the TV computer with the notion of making a retro gamer too, again chances of getting around to it are another story. I think the case worked out well, dubious speaker placement aside π
Someone is screwing with my connection and they driving me up the walls
I don't know who that chap was, but he spent some time on a few games so i think he enjoyed it π :-D.
His machine looked like i would expect to see in the arcades of the past, traditional shape and look.
But as he said he didn't have to make the case, so that was a really good find.
Yours is easy to move, so you can put it anywhere you like without needing to visit a chiropractor afterwards :-D.
The playability must be good for you and your other half to be superglued to it lol :-D.
