Inexpensive Outdoor Lamp Post Project

Under $60 a piece!
Note: I left about 8-10 inches between the concrete and the top of each planter to allow room to plant flowers but to save on cost you can fill with dirt, rock, etc. I chose flowers, which was a bit more expensive.

Cost/Supplies Per Lamp:
10 foot wooden post: $6.00 (Lowe’s)
Lantern: $10.00 (K-Mart)
Battery Operated candle: $8.00 (Walmart)
Concrete Planter: $19.00 (on sale at Lowe’s)

Additional supplies (shared between both lamp posts):
Thompson’s water seal stain (autumn brown): $20.00 (Lowe’s)
Flowers/soil: $15 per planter (Lowe’s)
Concrete: $6.00 (Lowe’s)

Looks cool but seeing how you ran the string lights up the post I would have opted for plug in lights (connected to the string lights), changing the batterys seems like a pain.
