Hi Scotty. I've been watching some of your videos lately, and congrats for the great content! One question though, what's up with German cars in the US to be so horrible? VW's are good here in Europe. I admit they may not be the most reliable things, but they often just need a cheap repair to keep going, and there are tons of aftermarket parts and mechanis if you want to avoid dealer and oem part costs. Same goes with Mercedes, don't know about the new ones, but the older models where often used as taxis.
Even Nissan's with Renault engines (often diesel ones, the DCIs) are not horrible, my wife drives ones from 2004 and it is now just over 300.000km. It will have to replace oil seals because it leaks, but it is a 15 year old car. Apart from that, runs great. We do use manual transmissions, automatic ones are still quite rare around here.
Run away from Hummer and Volkswagen SUV and Nre beetle.
What do you thing of (Not Toyotas and Hondas)
Run, they're endless moneypits as they age.
i’m from houston too, please be my mechanic omg i have a 05 honda accord & im trying to fix it to sell it.
right now my only problem is my car turns off when it’s stopped. a mechanic said it was the “catalyst” from muffler
& another mechanic said my gas tank might’ve got some trash, to just pump plus premium gas & pour a lucas injector (which i did) but it’s still having the “turn off” problem
pls help me
