1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Track Car Build – Muscle Car Project

This ’71 Dodge Challenger was purchased on eBay for what was considered a steal of a deal, in hind sight that should have been a hint that there were issues hiding. Upon disassembly it was apparent why the deal was so good – the cracked K-frame and smashed collectors on the headers were a good indication that the Challenger had suffered some collision damage, the Challenger had been hit hard on the passenger side at the A-pillar. After sandblasting, the picture got even grimmer as thick layers of body filler gave way to rust and more damage…

Marvin DeJaynes says:

Amazing metal work! The mock diffuser and oversized and misplaced chin spoilers are way out of place. When will we get over black wheels? 3 too many oddities on a classic design.
