Hiya buddy. Interesting topic. I go wild camping both by myself and with my son. We live in the UK so we are not concerned about attack by wild animals. However, it would be naive and arguably reckless not to consider the possibility that the 2 legged variety may be around – even in the dead of night. After all, we're there! Therefore, in addition to having common camping tools with us that can double up as defensive items, we also carry home made trip wires which we use to set up a perimeter alarm, i,e, an early warning system. Please check out my recent video below and encourage others to do so:

Take care buddy. Respect. 21centurycaveman
Not sure if I would use these for zombies. Once they go off they will attract more. You would have to make a quick getaway…
For $5 this is real good, but I think the ideal early warning system is one that surrounds your location from a good distance, is camouflaged and silent, but warns you that someone/something is coming ( and a plus would be to see them on camera, but that gets expensive, technical, and electricity consuming real fast). I also just like the idea of surrounding your location with crisp sticks that will crackle and pop if any big thing is coming. That way, you are warned, but they might not know it.
Who hates SP1 ?
So the one bear says to the other bear…"Dude, watch out, I saw this guy has a YouTube video about alarms, so watch your step!"
no prob my friend…thanks for the great videos!
after painting it, wrap a few layers of duct tape around the middle area of the alarm (to protect it) then attach it to the base of a mouse trap….put two eye screws on each side of the u shape deal (that slams down on the neck of a rodent)….insert pin with trip wire attached…done.
LOL… AMEN DUDE…. DONT SAY NUTNFANCY!!!
