Curtis Green says:

Hello Montactical, I am a novice to all of this so please be patient with me. 1. Why does the attic play such a vital part in this if the DVR will be placed in my home office? 2. Why wouldn't a person fish the wires from the cameras that are outside to where the base of the unit will be placed inside of your home? 3. Although I don't mind crawling around in my attic, if I want to install cameras all around my home without any wires showing do I have to use my attic to do so and if so why use the attic instead of just drilling from the outside to the inside of my home then connect the wires that way to the DVR?" 4. How did you fish the wires from your attic to all of your cameras and then to your DVR unit? I have a 2 story home. Thank you in advance for the information and taking time to put together this video. Curtis

Scott Daniels says:

Good video! I'm concerned mainly with running wiring from the outside into the house and this addressed that problem although creating a hole the size of a quarter will cause families of flying squirrels to move in again. Thanks

Good vid! So you are able to add a cable to another cable, for example If the 50" cable it comes with isn't long enough can I buy a 15' extension?

I've downloaded Xeoma for video surveillance from internet. And I have 6 IP cameras set in my house. This is it. A very easy an affordable surveillance system. You can try Xeoma for free, it has all the features of commercial version. And I absolutely love it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8SJKFTT-4A

Oh hey! Thanks for sharing! Hope you wont mind me sharing.. have you considered " Vidadsmedia Mobile Business Review " (just google it)? My BFF had some dealings with them and was impressed by their amazing system and the ease of usage!

Maria Chivers says:

Thank you for taking the time to put this video on.  It was very helpful (albeit a bit technical for me), hopefully my son will be able to understand some of that.  Can I ask a question, if the information is going to the tv/dvr can it also go to a computer and basically (out of the house), so that if you were burgled they couldn't take that with them?

Daniel Tojcic says:

Thank you for this video…I have a question though. How do you mount the cameras to the outside of your house? Never set this up before but the technical side of things is no problem, just the drilling and running cables inside that I don't have experience with

EV GREER says:

good job …

Eric Miller says:

Lets face it, you just wanted an excuse to repel off the roof.

Sunny White says:

Very informative and well done.  Only problem for me is I want to have the cameras on metal buildings on 2 sides of a road.  Any suggestions how to go about that?

MJ Electronics says:
