Hometalk please come to my house in northern VA! ππ½ππ‘
Oh my! I just did this at my house – also after 27 years! I went with plain white and it took about a week for 18 doors and 9 drawers. I can't believe she didn't paint the inside of the doors, tho! Rustoleum sells a restoration kit. Or you can use use an acetone deglosser (instead of sanding), Behr matte paint (3-4 coats), and clear gloss poly (2-3 coats). Also used a stone coating technique for my old laminate countertops. Beautiful! Tiled my backspalsh, too. Looks like an entirely new kitchen for around $600. Now I just need a new floor…
Love the diy crew on Hometalk! I have been watching Hometalk for a long time and the diy crew takes it to another level. Good job and always remember to number your cabinet doorsβΌοΈ Thatβs what the blue tape was for in the video. TFSππΌππΌ

Turned out beautifully! A nice antiqued set of cabinets π
So what was the combination of glaze and what kind of paint did yall use?
Love itππππ

Yea! I like it! Looks good π
That is really cool look and that HomeTalk was there to help Great job Ladies can't wait to see the complete job
Love Hometalk!! but I didnβt think it looked good. Sorry. The glaze was very blotchy and got stuck in the grain of the oak. The cabinets looked dirty and dingy close-up. Maybe another coat of paint to fill in the oak grain and maybe more glaze and less black. I donβt know. Really wanted to love it because I have the same cabinets and I wanted to paint and glaze mine. Now thinking how to fix this potential problem if I paint and glaze my cabinets.
It's wonderful when you do something yourself and it turns out beautiful.
Iβm gonna say it flat out.. . Your channel is the best one on here! Iβm just saying .. π€¨π
