Shelby Richter says:

But did the structure hold up against the heat and flames?

madmiles says:

Little advice for anyone building this, use PT(pressure treated) lumber for the bottom plates. I don't see those pieces of PT ply holding up long term.

Lindsay Monday says:

This is a fantastic video!! THANK YOU

Bryan Garrett says:

+modernbuilds, can I use granite for the countertops instead of the concrete bc I will be eating of this countertops?

Angy Mac says:

Would love u for a son in law. ! Daughters got the wedding dress ! Come build the house !!!

ERIC BREWSTER says:

If you do not mind answering how much did this cost you?

Brooks Davis says:

My contractor built a very similar outdoor kitchen, I too was concerned about grill heat on the wood framing. It has not been a problem. We used granite contertops, an inexpensive , common variety of granite is not much more expensive than concrete countertops. Looks nicer, IMO. I agree with using cedar siding, naturally rot and insect resistant. Another thing to consider. Spend the extra money ( $500 in my case ) to have a natural gas line run to your kitchen. I use my grill and side burner A LOT, I would have used 20 propane tanks in a year is my wild guess. Saves a lot of hassle, and I think it is safer. I just shut off the natural gas behind the kitchen when I am done. The only thing I am changing is that in my area(Houston), there is enough rain and moisture that even though my kitchen is totally covered, there are little mildew spots on my cedar siding even though I clear-coated right after the install. I am going to cover up the cedar on the outside with some sort of pre-fab rock siding for the look. Still recommend the cedar though, it is insect and rot resistant due to it's high oil content. Nice video overall, good job , sir.

Sandy Moran says:

Inspired! Thanks for the info — this is a great video & project.

Mike Smothers says:

BAD ASS DUDE!!!! This is the best DIY I've seen so far!!!

Benion says:

Is it better to use pressure treated lumber?

Paul Deitado says:

Great video! Just finished mine and kept it very close to your idea. BTW great idea with the wood core doors as a base for the counter tops. The only different thing I did was I use sand mix for the concrete top and strained it with semi-transparent stain. I love I. Thank you very much.

New to the channel. I'm looking for inspiration ideas for my backyard on the new house I'm buying. Great job! What was the time frame from start to finish on the whole project? I figure I'll only have weekends and what limited week nights work do mine.

Alejandro Delgado says:

Hi, what's the thing you put on the counter top, so it doesn't rot?

Long Nguyen says:

fantastic job there bro, you make it so easy for the first timer, simple and clear instructions, thanks so much.

doug davis says:

hi, where did u happen to get that sink from for the outdoor kitchen?

Morgan Seibert says:

I am thinking of using kiln dried cedar boards on my bar but not sure if I should use tongue and groove siding instead? I live in Texas and we get such high humidity.

Gadsdan says:

Subbed; Love this stuff.

Cory Kramer says:

What kind of grill is that? Is it like a half grill or something? How does it fit in?

Gunnar Stahl says:

Do you do this for a living like concrete work
