Today on Modern Builds I’m transforming some old, outdated kitchen cabinets into modern, slab-style cabinets. This is a simple DIY project that is great for weekend (or two) project.

Replacing solid oak with mdf seems wrong, looks good though

This looks totally diy and cheap no offense. And those mdfs will be swollen and unsightly in no time.
a vinyl wrap on the doors and cabinet facing would look better than paint and not that expensive.

would doors that take up the whole frame of the cabinet work if u have cabinets that meet on an angle?

Why would you replace real wood doors for MDF? You should have just painted the old doors.
