I use to ride a cruiser in California and before I moved and got married, I sold it and haven't been riding since. That was 20 years ago and since I've been watching your videos you have inspired me to go back to riding. I saw a nice used CBR600RR for sale and figured I take your advice and convert it into a Street Fighter.
There are a few things to be aware of. If you are building one out of a supersport and are doing the usual step of swapping out the clip ons for say motocross bars (a common swap on homebuilt fighters) you may need to get extended brake and clutch lines for the higher bars to work properly. Also a lot of modern supersports have ducting that goes through the frame which you might need to find a solution for for cooling/air intake or just to improve the look of the bike if the ducting works just fine with the fairings off.

The custom GS500 at 1:15 might be a cheap bike, but it's not a streetfighter. It may be a good runaround, but a streetfighter is generally a faster bike, made from a faired (and crashed) IL4 sports or sports tourer.

Look up Copart! There are hundreds of salvage title bikes, that's where I've gotten most of mine. All you need is to message someone who has a sellers license, and for like $100 you can have them bid for you.
