i like how the dude in blue just watches and texts half the time everyone is breaking their back lol
Why no hardcore on the soft soil I don't understand
This helped me out a lot. One day I will be needing to do this on my homestead. Thanks for taking the time out and explaining, videotaping, and editing. I appreciate it.
Angel from The Bay
Had to do this work for a year due to me being on felony probation.nothing but respect to Mason's ,this is back breaking work
Hey dave really enjoy your videos thank you for sharing your knowledge. My mothers back porch sits quite low around 4 inches from the bottom of her back door and i want to bring the slab up to the bottom of the door so she doesnt have to use a ramp for her wheel chair. Is it ok to pour a slab over a slab with joints and not follow the original joints on the top slab? when would you not recommend pouring a slab over a slab? would it be wise to break the existing slab into rip rap leave it in place then pour on top? thanks
YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE HELPS A BEGINNER OUT A LOT? GETTING THOSE FORM STAKES DOWN LEVEL OR JUST BELOW THE FORM BOARD! THAT AND PUTTING DOBIES DOWN UNDER THE REBAR SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMEMBER TO PICK IT UP TO THE CENTER OF THE POUR! I'VE SEEN NOOBIES DO IT PLENTY OF TIMES.
I noticed that there is no expansion joint on the house side. If the concrete expands isn't it pushing away from the house? Is a expansion joint and or re enforcement on the house side required? And also how do you prevent the new slab from sagging over time, ea moving away from the house or sinking ? Love your videos.
I like that the guy seems laid back he seems straight forward and just tries to help you out!!!
Dude, smoke after the vid not before
what was the grade of the concrete
mr.odell?
Just wondering, why didn't you tamp the soil before you put the rebar down?
I want to get it on old-school style… lol
Seriously though great video and thanks for sharing!
