Saeed Ahmed says:

I'm a plumber and never use putty and clay glue to fix your pipe some dumb stuff there you'll only cause more damage in the long run when your pipe bursts again.

Henry Recinos says:

Any body else notice that there was no water pressure on this samples? Shark bites they there good for quick or temporary repairs but the rest? Come on

Social Darwin says:

The U-V curing stuff at the end is great. I never thought to use it in pipes, though, it may be a different material than what I have for simple plastic repairs. Looks exactly the same though, hard to tell, since both are clear gel and maybe even taste the same. 🙅🏾‍♂️

My god, people it’s a temporary fix, the whole ideas is to do it FAST!!! Imagine being in a 7 story hospital, apartment, retirement home, office. NOW you whip out you invoice book and charge a happy willing to pay anything customer.

Jimminy Cricket says:

You can’t diss a shark bite. Nothing better for FailSafe pipe repairs, T&P reconnects for new water heaters ( much faster install or removal), or if you’re in a super tight space where only one hand can be used. Btw, shark bite caps are a must to cap off a live pipe. They usually only leak if you don’t install them correctly. No underground, no weathered areas, and I usually always silicon wrap them. Don’t pipe a whole dang house with them. That is insane.

Zayd Boudekkara says:

Just use hot glue gun

Rocketninja200 says:

For 1/4th the cost you could repair it properly, sweating 2 couplings and a small section of pipe.

ALPHAREDO RODRIGUEZ says:

ALPHAREDO RODRIGUEZ says:

Jet swet and ball valve can't beat it you can recharge system and continue to prepare what's needed

John Doe says:

All these quick repairs, and no professional ones? lol

Deft Motion says:

All of these are only temporary. Only sharkbites meet code and all the others are garbage. Even sharkbites are bush league. Fail, youre just helping people create worse problems don the road. Bad video

Deft Motion says:

Your clamp repair doesnt meet code for anything but temporary repairs. Piece of rubber and a hose clamp is just as easy. Sharkbites are for chumps and only half assed plumbers use them as permanent fixes

korinogaro1988 says:

Why the hell would you use anything except for SharkBite (and I say it only because it looks somewhat decent. Never used it)? On the other note why don;t you just pay home insurance and have someone do a proper repair.

Matt Myers says:

As a plumber/pipefitter, I for one can think of many situations I have encountered where I would have loved to have had some of these at my disposal, especially the temporary clamp and tape! In a perfect world, you never get called to a situation where a crappy gate valve didn’t hold and was not able to be shut off easily, in a timely manner; where every minute counted in an area with a busted pipe spraying all over things that should never see water. I can say for sure that the epoxy/wrap method works great for steel pipe, after crawling/swimming through leaking water, way back in a tunnel underneath an old school, where it was not possible to cut out a section of pipe, thread the existing pipe and install a new section with 2 unions, or cut out and weld in a new section of pipe. So, for all of those dogging these repair methods, while they may not be perfect or permanent, they most certainly have their place, and are welcome in my tool box.
