DIY plumbing vent cap pipe, i had a leak coming from my vent pipe during heavy rain i determined it was coming from rain coming from inside and weeping out and running down the outside, this may also work as a solution for keeping pests out as well, alot cheaper than buying one

I don;t understand why even try to save $10 or even $20?
the oatey pipe cap you're trying to copy is also ~$10 …. I wish those pvc caps were cheaper
