I get identical anchor bolt heights by drilling a hole in some scrap, inserting the threaded end in the hole, then spinning the anchor bolt nut down by finger. Place centered in concrete and the bolt cannot sink or shift. Costs nothing.
The skids on a cabin aren't perfectly in line. Can I move j bolts off center of pier to attach to girder withoit worry? Don't want to try and dig a huge hole off center to accomodate.
I thought you were suppose to leave the top of the concrete round, not level. Wouldn't that allow winter rain to run off and avoid freezing expansion cracks? I like the look of flat better, it's just that I don't want issues down the road.
I made it myself thanks to WoodPrix website.
I've been studying constructing sheds and discovered a fantastic resource at Adota blueprint pack (check it out on google)
That is the kind of detailed instructions that many videos lack.
Good information.
