Bushcraft Treehouse Shelter gets a DIY WOOD BURNING STOVE!

Bushcraft Treehouse Shelter gets a DIY WOOD BURNING STOVE!

In this weeks episode we fit the long awaited homemade wood burning stove into the bushcraft heroes treehouse! Reuben made this beast of a stove from an old hot water tank. What a beast! We remade our roof, tarped up the walls and fitted some sturdy boards to make sure the stove was safe. This really means the shelter can be used long term through winter!

Please, please, if you fit a stove inside any shelter, you must make sure you have sufficient airflow to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning or carbon dioxide build up from the stove using all the oxygen in the shelter.

Jeremy Crowe says:

I was thinking you were maybe going to make one around the size of a 5 gallon bucket! It worked though snd was a neat idea. The flat plate at the top was smart to boil water or heat your food.

Jeremy Crowe says:

I'd put a sheet of tin behind it just to be safe.

Lann Perry says:

Fantastic work as always guys! Im looking forward to seeing more!
Instead of a heavy steel plated, you can get some fire retardant sheet for behind it. Bit pricey but worth it!

Christopher Cooper says:

You should place a piece of sheet metal behind it.

Christopher Cooper says:

With the stove being next to the tarp like that, don’t you think that heat would destroy the tarp or worse yet, catch it on fire.

Zakariah No known last name says:

Well done, gents. Inspiring stuff. Makes me wish I could get away more.
