This is a video documenting portions of my tree house project for my kids. I did not do any formal written plan on it, just kind of planned it in my noggin and went with it. Nice job, I am about the do the same for my kid. One small item. On your center support, instead of a flat 2 by 6, I would have run two of them on edge and capture the post in between them.

I liked the entire process. Nice work MtnRipper. I know the kids are just loving it. I happened to read some negative comments below and noticed the trolls are like darn crabgrass. They come up anywhere and everywhere. Again, nice job. I just subscribed to ya. So have a nice week and enjoy that tree house w/o trees with the kids (smile).

I found some brown colored 1/4 Or 3/8 inch fiber board at home depot. 4×8. It was cheap I can't recall the price. It was in the same area as the other wall paneling.
Did you use Sheetrock on the interior?

I thought about that but decided I would not be trying to get on the roof, and that it would be something I could add later if I needed to. I did have quite a bit of debree on the roof after Hurricane Irma and all the fall leaves coming down. I just used my ladder and climbed up and swept it off. Thank you for your suggestions and input! I do plan to add another support post underneath, but it seems solid as can be as it is. I will keep an eye on the roof and keep your advice in mind. Thanks for your timeš
You need 1bys or 2 bys running perpendicular to the roof trusses if you ever have to get on that roof you're gonna fall right through it.

Hey I am not by any means trying to cut you down or talk bad about your project.I think it was a good thought. Ā But if you don't know any about building, you should not put a video of building on youtube. You should have gotten a permit for that. There are so many things wrong and unsafe with that building. And other people do not need do follow you and what you built. Someone could get hurt.
nice! but id run a double center joist supportĀ underneath because of the length of you're spanning. 4×4 holes should be cemented atĀ 42" below frost level. nice video
