Ive always like making these viking chairs, its a really simple furniture project that doesnt take long, doesnt need serious skill and gives a great result when its done. Ive been thinking a while though about the fact that you need boards that are 12 inches wide or so ideally and the fact that decent boards this wide arent cheap. Someone did a plywood laminate a while back that was a good idea but i hate ply wood, its shit. Pallets are where its at! By laying and gluing the pallets on top of each other and applying pressure ive ended up with these substantial slabs of timber which are ideal for this purpose.
