Kind of an abrupt end to the audio on this one – I have a music track for the end screen that got nailed for copyright (even though it was a track I paid to license), so rather than go through the rigmarole to try to get it approved, I went with the blunt force removal option from YouTube. If that was a surgery to remove a wort, you'd be missing your whole hand when they finished 🙂

geniusly job
John what did you viewing screen 7inchies
Great video and I love that box idea, so simple but a really nice finish.
well, the thumbnail worked.
nice project!
Blue was the correct decision. Even for a utilitarian project. 🙂
Nice job John
I like the blue. Another great project.
Cool project. But using a linear regulator with such a big voltage drop is a waste of power. You should use a buck converter instead. You'll probably double the battery life and it won't produce as much heat.
If you want to step down 18V to 8V for battery powered applications then best option is to use a buck converter, they are ridiculously cheap on eBay and the like too
Hey man really like your work subscribe to my channel as I did to you I like creating things too
Would have also been fun to see you anodize the aluminum.
Could you please tell what brand is the camera monitor that you are using? I am looking to buy one and I cannot decide on one…and if it survived in the shop it must be pretty sturdy. Thank you.
Because, of course. 3:50. Please forgive me for laughing at that point in the video… I can so relate to this happening. Really cool to see your approach on these projects and I always benefit from picking up cool tips by seeing you work. Thanks again for sharing John!
Cool project! And the blue aluminium really does look better 🙂
A question about the electronics (as I couldn't see a way to comment on the website): why did you use a linear regulator instead of a much more efficient switching regulator? I've seen modules online for a couple of euros, so was it just because you already had one lying around? Maybe it's the Wandelite in me, but personally I can't stand the less than 45% efficiency of a linear regulator, despite you showing that the linear regulator is obviously working well enough.
Clicked for the blue aluminum
Nice, John. Great alternative to the Radio Shack project boxes we all use.
Super awesome!!
Having a second push stick sitting on the fence doesn't count, but at least you're trying to be a better person.
Thumbs up on the colour blue. Enjoyed the vid. I really enjoy watching and learning from them. Thanks
Nice project John! Thanks for sharing it with us.👍😎JP
The thumbnail looked a bit like an ice cream sandwich
i cut aluminum with saw and an old saw blade
👍🏻👊🏻
Nice design. I’ve been thinking about cutting aluminum with my chop saw and table saw. Is there a reason you went for the hack saw instead?
I thought it was an ice cream sandwich in the thumbnail. I'm hungry. Nice video as usual.
Ooh, save those aluminum filings and make some thermite. 😉
