Bartop Arcade w/ Raspberry Pi

Bartop Arcade w/ Raspberry Pi

Nicole and I are big gamers and we both have fond memories of early PC and console games. While our two kids and business prevent us from diving into games like we used to, we’ll always be gamers at heart. So when my buddy Brian Ibbot from Coverville asked me to help him with an arcade cabinet, I jumped on the opportunity.

Nice job, Quality Control!! Lol.

Loopy Mind says:

if a power-switch in the back is considered a fire hazard, or you have some sort of melting going on, you're doing something very wrong…

PapaLuigi says:

Jake Marynicz says:

You mention that it doesn't matter the way the buttons are wired up, if you use the same encoder PCB for player 1 that you do for player 2, the button order must be an exact match. I.e. If button A on player 1 is plugged into socket 1 on the PCB, then it must be the same for player 2. Retropie (Retro-Arch) will only create one config file based on the PCB controller name, so if you use identical encoders for each player there will only be one config file created therefor they need to be identically wired otherwise it will cause issues.

Great build! I was wondering where you ordered your marquee. I built an arcade similar to yours with mdf and ended up with an odd sized marquee space and i need to order a custom one. Thanks for the vid and inspiration!
